A very distinctive and, for me, oddly endearing species, the solitary larvae of the Birch Sawfly can be seen feeding on Birch leaves between June and September. It's the largest larvae of around 500 species of Sawfly in the UK, growing up to 45mm in length.
This is a small 148 x 148 mm print of my original pen and ink drawing. Printed on premium 300gsm paper made from 100% post consumer waste with non-toxic ink made from organic pigments. The paper is a warm, natural white with a white fleck.
Supplied unmounted and unframed. All prints are signed and titled on the back so as not to detract from the artwork, but can be singned on the front instead if you prefer (please add a note at checkout).
